Born and raised in the fishing village of Kamini on the island of Hydra, Yiannis started fishing when he was just 10 years old, tagging along his grandfather Captain Loukas.
The sea has been his natural habitat from a young age and aboard his caique is where he feels most comfortable in.
He fell in love with fishing and the life of the fisherman which is hard but full of unique moments in contact with nature’s elements.
Now, with more than 25 years of experience as a professional fisherman, Yiannis is a true expert on the seas and fish around Hydra and beyond and he loves to share his stories.

When Katerina first experienced a day out fishing with Yiannis on his traditional caique, she discovered the magic of the simplicity and the wisdom that is behind this century old activity. She thought that this is something worth sharing, not only with those passionate with fishing but also with anyone who wishes to relax, have fun, and explore the most idyllic swimming locations. A Leadership Development Consultant who decided to live and work from the island of Hydra, a digital nomad who embraced fishing life and sees everyday as a new learning opportunity. Katerina designed the fishing journeys, speaks fluent English and Spanish and can communicate in French and Italian. She is committed to offering an unforgettable guest experience to all those aboard.
